| Lindsey's, Inc., was started in 1948 by World War II veteran, Lindsey Hand Barron. The company has been a top- notch residential, commercial and land real estate brokerage in the Newnan, Coweta County, Georgia, area over many years. The company is now owned by Lindsey Barron's sons, Chip and Frank Barron who have owned the firm since 1978. The Barron family have been community, church and civic leaders in many organizations, and the third generation of Barrons has now joined the firm in Chip's son ,Tom, and Frank's son, Jess. Chip Barron is presently on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Georgia MLS. He is a past President of the Newnan-Coweta Board of Realtors. Chip received a B.A. degree in 1971 from Emory University, and a J.D. degree from Mercer University in 1974. Chip has been an active member of the Georgia Bar since 1974, and is a member of the Georgia Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors and has the GRI designation. Chip is past president of the local United Way, the local Red Cross, the Newnan Kiwanis Club, and the Newnan- Coweta Chamber of Commerce. He has served three terms on the Board of Trustees of Mercer University, and is presently a member of the local BB&T Bank Advisory Board. Chip and his wife Margaret are active members of the First Baptist Church of Newnan, and they have three children and three grandchildren. Chip has great knowledge of all aspects of real estate in Georgia, and he is, also, licenced in Alabama.
