The State of New Jersey is known for quite a few things. It is known as the Diner Capital of the World, home to more than 500 diners. It is also known for having the largest population within the smallest area in the county. The state is only about 150 miles in length and 70 miles wide, for a total of less than nine thousand square miles. Trenton is the capital of New Jersey, but with only 85,000 people, it is far from the most populous area. Newark has the most residents with close to 283,000. Jersey City comes in second with 243,300.

And while only about 17% of New Jersey land is dedicated to agriculture, it is key to the production of horticulture products including poinsettias, roses, chrysanthemums, and geraniums. New Jersey Land and Geography
