Region & Climate The N Fork Republican River Valley is located in the east central portion of Yuma County on the Eastern Plains of Colorado in an area that normally receives 15″ of annual rainfall, with low humidity and almost 300 days of sunshine per year. History The Eastern Plains of Colorado  have long been the hunting grounds for Native Americans and early settlers, once tens of thousands of bison roamed these grass covered rolling hills and lush stream bottoms. The area was also grazing territory for the historic cattle drives from Texas to Montana.  Most recently this area has mainly been utilized for ranching or dryland farming. Location The N Fork Republican River Valley is accessed by a low maintenance County Road and is located in the east central portion of Yuma County. The community of Wray is less than 15 minutes away, 45 minutes to Burlington and I-70, 30 minutes to Yuma and a little over an hour to Julesburg and I-76/I-80 and just over 2 hours to Denver and DIA.
