Moser Gulch

Moser Gulch consists of 160 +/- acres that borders thousands of acres of BLM for endless recreational opportunities! The property includes a small unfinished cabin that is tucked away in a mountainside and secluded from the public which makes for a great, relaxing stay. From the front porch, one may see deer, bears, mountain lions, or even bobcats roaming the property as they reside in the area year-round! Land The land consists of 160 +/- acres and includes a canyon with a road that is gated off  at the mouth of the canyon. The rugged terrain is covered in cedar trees and sagebrush, as well as some grass throughout the bottom of the slopes. As you rise up the steep mountainsides towards the top, many rock outcroppings are visible. From there, the 360 degree views are incredible where you can see the town of Silt, a valley that stretches from Harvey Gap all the way to New Castle, and several other mountain formations in the distance. Recreation Due to the location of Moser Gulch, there are countless opportunities to keep you busy. The steep, rugged terrain allows for a long day of hiking, providing some of the most beautiful views. Other activities include hunting, riding ATVs or other off-road vehicles on the bordering BLM lands, fishing, boating, and swimming in the nearby lakes of Harvey Gap and Rifle Gap, spending the day meandering through surrounding towns, or even access to hundreds of thousands of acres of the nearby National Forest. Harvey Gap  is roughly 20 minutes from the property and has numerous species of fish such as rainbow trout, pike, perch, crappie, catfish, and bass. Rifle Gap is approximately 30 minutes from the property, and includes rainbow trout, brown trout, walleye, perch, bass, and pike in it’s waters. The White River National Forest is also under 1 hour from the property which gives you access to endless trails, streams, creeks, rivers, lakes, and so much more! Over-the-counter bull tags can be purchased for 2nd and 3rd season in GMU 33, whereas deer tags are draw only. Location The property is less than 20 minutes north of Silt, CO and New Castle, CO. Rifle, CO is located just to the southwest approximately 30 minutes, and roughly 1 hour past that is where Grand Junction, CO can be found. Towards the east, Glenwood Springs, CO is located within 40 minutes. Eagle County Regional Airport is the closest source for commercial air travel, and it is located in Gypsum, CO which is approximately 1 hour from the property. However, there are many other airports within similar distance.
