Jim belongs to the Realtor Land Institute which is a worldwide organization of land professionals that offers the opportunity to network with and market to other outstanding brokers across the country. Jim has earned the Accredited Land Consultant (ALC) designation. This is an elite group of 480 land specialists who hold the designation across the globe.

Jim lives and headquarters out of La Veta, Colorado, a small rural ranching town of about 800 permanent residents in Huerfano County, Colorado, that has recently seen an influx of artists, and baby boomer retirees. The town has no traffic lights or nationally franchised businesses. Las Animas is an adjacent county that also boasts some of the best elk hunting in Colorado. La Veta and Huerfano County also boasts several large elk herds and plenty of mule deer. It’s not unusual to have a herd of ten to twenty mule deer outside the office window. The La Veta location allows Jim to easily travel around Colorado and south into New Mexico. New Mexico towns like Santa Fe, Mora and Taos, Red River Raton, Eagle Nest, are easy drives. Drives to Colorado towns such as Pueblo, Trinidad, Colorado Springs, Alamosa, Salida and many other towns and cities are just as easy.
