Vale Paio

Vale Paio is a 580-hectare estate located along the Malpica de Tejo road, marked by a permeable 1.20 m boundary fence that defines the property limits while allowing wildlife to move freely across the landscape. The terrain is beautifully rolling and features an impressive stand of high-yield cork oak trees (approximately 600 trees), complemented by holm oak, creating both strong ecological value and attractive long-term cork potential.

The property is particularly well suited for partridge hunting, with 110 hectares allowing year-round partridge shooting and an excellent setting for training pointing dogs. Big game populations are also strong, including red deer, wild boar, and fallow deer, supporting the organization of approximately two monterías per year for around 15 hunters.

Water is a major asset, with numerous natural water points across the estate, an existing reservoir, and a proposed 4.5-hectare reservoir project located in the center of the property, currently pending final approval.

The residential and operational improvements offer substantial upside. The estate includes a period house in original condition, ready for renovation, a renovated 300 m² concrete-floor hangar with an electric shutter door for equipment and feed storage, and several well-positioned ruins suitable for restoration. Eight dedicated partridge management stations include feeders and water distribution systems, reinforcing the estate’s mixed small and big game potential.
