Hickory and cypress are prominent, with scattered oaks adding additional mast producing target locations. Vildo Retreat adjoins the 7,457 acre Hatchie River Wildlife Management Area, acquired by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency in November 2025. The relationship between Vildo Retreat and the WMA is a significant benefit: take a look at the access points on the WMA map. For the Retreat, adjoining the WMA creates the functional benefit of having thousands of additional acres of land.
