El Rito Allotment

Shared/ Seasonal Grazing allotment plus deeded acreage.

EL Rito Allotment is 88 +/- deeded acres with a +/- 38,000 acre forest allotment for cattle grazing. The 88 deeded acres has a new well, drinker and electricity. The grazing allotment allows up to 130 head (depending on year) for 6 months grazing located within approximately 20 minutes from Grants accessible by paved roads. Great seasonal grazing opportunity!

Land Vegetation consists of blue gramma, black gramma, western wheatgrass, bottlebrush squirreltail, galleta, and various others.  Browses include Winter Fat and Chamiza.  Elevations range from 7000-9000 feet on the allotment.

Improvements On the allotment, spring water is dispersed throughout the ranch to multiple drinkers via a pipeline system and several dirt tanks supplement water availability.  The allotment is divided into several pastures and has pens to gather and work cattle.

Agriculture This allotment is shared with another individual.  Buyer is buying half the allotment which at this time is for 130 head of cattle each season (can vary year to year).  The season is generally June-October and is at the discretion of the US Forest Service.
