Eric is the Broker in Charge for the Texas Region (Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Oklahoma) of AFM Real Estate. Eric has been working with timberland real estate since 1996. His career began with a consulting forestry firm in Crockett, Texas, where he learned the business of forestry and worked as an appraiser trainee. While there, Eric earned a real estate salesman license. From 1998-2006, he worked for a Timberland Investment Management Organization (TIMO), filling a number of roles, including area forester and division forester. He was also involved with the disposition and acquisition of client properties in Texas.

Eric states, "In late 2006, I moved full-time into timberland brokerage. I helped open two real estate company offices and was very successful in selling timberland and recreation properties for and to a number of TIMOs and REITs, as well as private individuals. I have served on the Board of Directors for the Society of American Foresters, and I am a past chairman of the Texas Society of American Foresters. Additionally, I am a Certified Forester, an Accredited Land Consultant, and a Licensed Real Estate Broker in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi."

Eric is a member of the Realtors Land Institute and received his Accredited Land Consultant designation in 2023. RLI named him one of the top 20 National Producers in 2022, 2023 & 2024, the National Broker of the Year for Timberland sales in 2023, and the 2024 and 2025 Region 8 Broker of the year for Timberland Sales.

Eric and his wife Jennifer have been married since 1991, and they live in Lufkin, Texas. They have four wonderful children: two are Texas A&M graduates, and one is a current Texas A&M student. Eric is active in his local community and is a member of the Angelina Rotary Club.
