Round Bale Ranch spans approximately 445 acres of productive rolling terrain characterized by dryland alfalfa fields bordered by strands of sagebrush. With year-round access via County Road 18S, the ranch is easily reached in all seasons and offers a strong combination of agricultural usability, wildlife habitat, and lies smack dab in the middle of one of Colorado's main migration routes for elk. Multiple ponds hold water and serve as important resources for both livestock and wildlife. Located in GMU 4, Round Bale Ranch benefits from consistent wildlife activity and strong hunting opportunities. Over-the-counter elk tags are available during second and third rifle seasons, ensuring annual opportunity, while deer and antelope licenses are available through the draw.

Within an hour of the ranch are multiple access points to hundreds of thousands of acres of nearby Routt National Forest, offering extensive trail systems, alpine lakes, quality fishing, and expanded hunting opportunities. Elkhead Reservoir is also located just a short drive from the property for additional recreation.

Location Round Bale Ranch is conveniently located less than 15 minutes north of Craig, which provides a full range of amenities including groceries, fuel, hardware, restaurants, medical services, and local businesses. Just over a half hour to the north lies Baggs Wyoming. Yampa Valley Regional Airport is roughly 30 minutes southeast of the ranch, and continuing another 30 minutes brings you to Steamboat Springs, well known for its year-round recreation, dining, and entertainment options.
