From the lower reaches to the upper portions of the ranch, the changing terrain provides outstanding panoramic views of surrounding canyons, ridges, and distant mountains.

A network of newly established roads provides access from the bottom of the property all the way to the top. A recently established clearing along one of the ranch’s benches provides an ideal location for a basecamp, campers, or a staging area for hunting and recreation. Recent food plots have also been established to help attract wildlife.

A recently installed solar well provides an efficient water source on the ranch. Three additional water tanks are located throughout the property, offering the ability to distribute water to different areas of the ranch, although water must currently be hauled to fill the tanks.

Perhaps most notably, the ranch is surrounded entirely by BLM land, creating exceptional privacy while providing direct access to a much larger expanse of public land for hunting and recreation.

Recreation Located in Colorado GMU 30, Pinyon Breaks Ranch offers quality habitat for a variety of western Colorado wildlife. Mule deer reside on and around the property throughout the year, while elk populations typically begin moving into the area later in the fall, particularly around the second and third rifle seasons. Turkey, grouse, and black bear are also found throughout the property and surrounding country.

The combination of pinyon, oak brush, pine pockets, sagebrush, rugged draws, and recently established food plots provides a diverse mix of cover and feeding areas. With BLM land surrounding the ranch on all sides, wildlife can move freely throughout a much larger expanse of undeveloped country.

Elk licenses are available over the counter for archery, 2nd, and 3rd rifle seasons, while deer and turkey licenses are available through the draw.

Location Pinyon Breaks Ranch combines a secluded setting with convenient access through a private access off paved Douglas Pass Road (State Highway 139). The property is located just under an hour south of Rangely, approximately 30 minutes from Loma, and less than an hour from downtown Grand Junction.

Rangely provides groceries, fuel, dining, lodging, and other everyday necessities, while Loma provides convenient access to the communities and amenities of the Grand Valley. Grand Junction serves as the primary regional hub for western Colorado, offering extensive shopping and dining, healthcare, lodging, entertainment, and other services. Grand Junction Regional Airport also provides commercial air service, adding convenient regional and national travel options within an hour of the ranch.
