The East Branch Heald Creek is a small, cold-water trout stream located in Newaygo County. It originates from a natural spring and flows through a 242-acre tract of rolling, heavily wooded state game land located just west of this 80 acre property and traverses through the South 40.

The East Branch Heald Creek is a cold-water tributary of the White River in northeastern Newaygo County, Michigan. Originating from springs just west of Brohman, the stream flows downstream to its confluence with Martin Creek, acting as an important cooling source for the watershed’s trout fisheries.

Fishing: Because it is a designated cold-water stream, it supports trout populations. The waters are noted for their high quality but can be narrow and brushy. 

Surrounding Habitat: The basin features rolling, heavily wooded terrain making it a prime area for hunting whitetail deer, turkey, and grouse.
