OLC Ranch

andThis property consists of mainly open pasture with good grassland. The property has a nice ridgeline on the NW portion of it that acts as a natural barrier. The property is peppered to the north with deciduous trees, and there is a spring on the property that produces water a good portion of the year. Access to the property is directly off HWY 120 and a dirt county road to the south. Views are 360 degrees and almost all Ocate can be seen from the property's ridgeline. Above the ridgeline there can be found the perfect build site as the grounds plateau out and offer a good flat area to build. Electricity can be found on the SE side of the property and runs up HWY area is replete with recreational activities. Angel Fire and The Enchanted Circle are only about 35 minutes away. Five ski basins are close by including Angel Fire, Taos, Red River, Pajarito, and Sipapu. The famous Kit Carson National Forest is nearby and offers many opportunities to hike, camp, hunt, or ride ATVs, dirt bikes, and mountain bikes on its 1.5 million acres. Fishing in the area is an angler’s dream and can be found in local streams and rivers, including the Cimarron River, The Rio Grande, and many more. Trout, Northern Pike, and Kokanee Salmon can be fished out of Eagle Nest Lake less than an hour - This area is known for having a plentiful amount of big and small game. Elk, Deer, Turkey, and the occasional Black Bear are a common sight. The ranch is no stranger to having its share of wildlife that frequents it. The Ranch falls within GMU 46 where some of New Mexico's finest Elk and Mule Deer 1.5 miles northwest of the center of Ocate, NM directly off of Highway 120. Towns like Angel Fire, Taos, Red River, Eagle Nest, and Mora are within an hour’s reach.
